The History Dress Collection
The History Dress Collection has been inspired by garments dating from the 1920s, 30s, 40s and 50s in The Museum Of Cornish Life, Helston, Cornwall, where I spent much time drawing and researching before designing this collection.
The print designs layer my illustrations of the Cornish landscape, people and streets, with drawings from the garments I researched. The dresses in this collection can be layered together, echoing the layers of trace and history in the museum dresses.
