This greeting card is a high quality reproduction from an original limited edition lino print. Lake beyond Blue is inspired by springtime at the lake near to my studio in Cornwall.  I sat by the lake and drew the composition for this print from direct observation, watching the first swallows of the year swooped over the lake, through wildflowers and the woodland beyond.  I gain a deep sense of place by revisiting the same locations to draw and paint from direct observation, exploring the colours and fauna as they change with the seasons and time of day.  Back in my studio I create detailed botanical studies of the plants I’ve collected.  Gradually I develop the compositions and colours for my prints, often layering the minutia of nature within larger landscapes.

My Giclee printed greeting cards are printed in Cornwall onto 100% recycled paper. Each card measures 15cm by 15cm and comes presented in compostable protective clear sleeves with an envelope.
