The exquisite Sea Garden print features my illustrations of Corals, butterflies, swallows, seaweed and garden flowers.
This print is part of the Museum Botanical collection. I was inspired by the natural history collections within Royal Albert Memorial Museum, particularly the 19th century collections of Echinoderms such as starfish and sea lilies, rare and tropical butterflies, and the adjacent treasure trove of bird specimens from across the world. I combined this research with collections from beyond the walls of the museum, including studies of pressed seaweed and coral collected in the early 20th century.
My limited edition Giclee prints are printed in Cornwall onto high quality fine art paper. Each print is presented in a compostable protective clear sleeve with a backing card. This print measures 16 cm by 21 cm.
